  4. Preparing to Modify Theme, Menus, etc. with a color picker
  5. Working with Pages

Week 4: Building the Website

  1. Organizing, Constructing, Publishing and Managing Pages
  2. Creating & Organizing Menus and Submenus
  3. Creating Widgets including image widgets for sidebars
  4. How to find and install Plugins (for Your Industry) and methods for installing

Week 5: WordPress – Media, Photos, Videos, Sliders

  1. The Media Library and how it works
  2. Understanding Jpeg, Gif, Png files (and where & when to use each)
  3. Resizing, Cropping, Lighting your photos, and more
  4. Resources for gathering public domain pictures
  5. Adding Media to a Post or a Page
  6. How to Install and Manage a videos

Week 6: WordPress – Blogs & Social Media

  1. What is a Blog and Why maintaining it is important
  2. Creating Tags & Categories
  3. Understanding and Managing the Tag Cloud
  4. Creating Blogs and Blog summaries
  5. Blog Curation: How to optimize blogging and safely reference others
  6. Managing Comments including Spam, Pings and Trackbacks
  7. How to create & place Social Media Buttons & Links
